GUIDES

Babis Marinidis

IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV Guide

Climbing has been a lifelong passion that began at the age of 14 with rock climbing and soon evolved into a professional career in the mountains. Today, this guide holds both Greek Mountain Guide certification (HFMC) and the international IFMGA/UIAGM/IVBV license — the highest standard in mountain guiding worldwide.
As a board member of the Hellenic Mountain Guide Association and a member of the Austrian Guides Association (Vorarlberg section), the guide combines deep expertise with a global perspective. Over the past two decades, numerous expeditions and guiding projects have taken place across the world — from Denali in Alaska to Damavand in Iran, including ski touring, alpine climbing, and high-altitude ascents.

Beyond mountaineering, there is also a strong passion for the sea. As a licensed skipper and sailor, the guide organizes unique climbing & sailing adventures throughout the Aegean Sea, merging two worlds of adventure.
Based between Litochoro, at the foot of Mt. Olympus in Greece, and Chamonix, France, guiding activities span from Olympus to Mont Blanc, the Haute Route in the Alps, Mt. Elbrus in the Caucasus, and the Greek islands.
